Submission Guidelines: No rules as far as form, length, or subject goes. We love writing that make us feel something. We gravitate towards poems about the human condition and experience. We like a good sense of place-- poetry that encompasses a town, region or country. We appreciate casual, conversational and classical equally. If it's good, it's good. Watch for our theme months in advance.
If you send us ekphrastic poetry, please include the piece that inspired it. To quote Emily Dickinson: “If I read a book and it makes my whole body so cold no fire can ever warm me, I know that is poetry. If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry. These are the only ways I know it. Is there any other way?”
Send us up to 5 poems along with a short bio, in a word or PDF file to: FawnRiverReview@gmail.com
If you prefer to time travel with us, send us your typed, handwritten, scrap of paper or napkin poetry to our snail mail address below.
Thank you for sharing your poems with us! We will respond within a few weeks.
